Heavy Metals

Heavy metals are both naturally occurring elements in the soil and human contaminants in the environment. Some soils contain more than others, so any grown product, including hemp, must be tested for these contaminants to ensure safety.

Hemp

An industrial plant cultivated for its fiber and edible seeds. Hemp is in the same plant family as cannabis but doesn’t have psychoactive effects.

Hemp Fiber

Hemp fiber is made from industrial hemp and is used for making paper, plastics and textiles.

Hemp Oil, Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp Seed Oil comes from the seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant. Hemp Seed Oil contains  fatty acids and some of the nutrients but doesn’t contain the same compounds as the plant. These include essential amino acids, omega-3, omega-6, omega-9, Vitamin E, and minerals. Food-grade Hemp Seed Oil contains no THC or only trace levels.

High

A term to describe the altered, intoxicated sensation associated with THC. CBD generally does not cause a high because there is not enough THC.
