Anti-inflammatory

A benefit of CBD use is the reduction of excess inflammation within the skin and tissues. This can reduce the appearance of acne or reduce the degree of pain to an injury or chronic issue.

Alcohol Extraction 

A method commonly used to extract cannabinoids from cannabis plants. The cannabis is soaked in ethanol or another alcohol to remove plant material. The alcohol is then evaporated to leave just the cannabinoids.

Anandamide (AEA)

A type of cannabinoid that is produced by the body. It is an Endocannabinoid, a fatty acid neurotransmitter. Anandamide interacts with the CB1 cannabinoid receptor. The CB1 receptors are responsible for mental and physiological processes.

Agricultural Hemp

Agricultural Hemp is a variety of Cannabis Sativa plants that contains less than 0.3% THC. It is grown for industrial purposes and is legal for use in all 50 states and several countries.

Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018

Also known as the Farm Bill. It is a US legislative act that lifted restrictions on growing Industrial Hemp, allowing for legal cultivation in all 50 states. 

American Herbal Pharmacopoeia (AHP)

The American Herbal Pharmacopoeia (AHP) is one of three national standard-setting organizations that validates the  methods of Third-party lab tests used for testing CBD.

Association of Official Agricultural Chemists (AOAC)

The Association of Official Agricultural Chemists (AOAC)  is one of three national standard-setting organizations that validates the  methods of third-party lab tests used for testing CBD.
